WordPress nonprofit site + donation flow
Meridian Foundation
A WordPress site for a nonprofit, built around a content model their team can update themselves and a donation path that doesn’t make people hunt for the "give" button.
The Brief
Meridian’s old site buried its donate button three clicks deep and needed a developer for every new program page. They needed a site their staff could run themselves, with giving front and center.
The Approach
- 01Planned a custom WordPress content model: a Programs post type and an Impact Stories post type, both editable without touching code.
- 02Mapped the donor journey and moved the donate CTA into the header and every program page, not just the homepage.
- 03Designed a template system that reads as considered no matter which story or program fills it.
- 04Trained the team to publish new stories and programs themselves in minutes.
